Tree Trimming Service

Regular trimming is required to maintain safe and healthy trees. At Turcotte Tree, we have extensive knowledge regarding trimming best practices to keep your trees in good shape for years to come.
if you own a property that has trees on it, it is important to regularly trim them to ensure their health and remove any potentially hazardous branches from the canopy. As trees age, certain branches will begin to die. This happens for a variety of reasons but commonly it is because they are diseased or not receiving enough light. Trimming these dead branches will lessen the chance of any diseases spreading and potential bug infestations.

Homeowners should always hire a professional to handle their tree trimming needs because of the potential danger involved in the process. Safely accessing the canopy of a large tree requires aerial lifts, bucket trucks, or climbing gear that the average home simply does not have access to. Using a chainsaw and making large cuts into a tree high above the ground takes years of experience to learn. There is little room for error and the consequences could be deadly.

Hiring the right tree care professional to trim your trees is an important decision if you care about the health and long-term well being of the trees on your property.

At Turcotte Tree, we have over 15 years of industry experience and training in the care and preservation of northeastern trees. We pride ourselves on being your tree’s caretaker and take the responsibility seriously.

If you believe that your trees add value to your property either because they are aesthetically pleasing, or simply because you like their shade, call us today and learn more about how we can take care of them and maximize their lifespan helping to ensure that they continue to contribute value long into the future.

F.A.Q.

Tree trimming is a complex task and to be done properly it should be performed by an experienced professional. Tree Trimming can raise a lot of questions so we’ve put together a list of some of the most common ones we receive. If your question isn’t answered here call us and we can answer it over the phone.
Can I trim my neighbor's tree if it's growing over my yard?
Yes, if your neighbor’s tree is growing over your property you can trim it.
Is my neighbor responsible for trimming their trees if it's growing over my yard?
As a general rule of thumb, it is not your neighbor’s responsibility to trim over your yard even if the trees are technically theirs. You are responsible for maintaining the airspace over your yard regardless of the ownership of the tree.
How much of the tree can you remove when trimming?
While all trees are different, and there are different guidelines for different species, generally speaking, you never want to take more than 25% of a canopy. You should trim even less than 25% if the tree is old and has slowed its growth.
Will trimming hurt the health of my trees?
No, if done correctly, trimming dead and diseased branches will be beneficial to the health of the tree.
