Tree Removal Service

Tree removal is a complex process that requires the correct knowledge, skillset, and machinery. At Turcotte Tree Service, we have the expertise and the equipment to remove your trees safely and efficiently.

At Turcotte Tree, we pride ourselves on being a local company you can count on for experienced, responsible tree removal. Above all, we value safety and customer satisfaction. As a small business with years of industry experience, we are able to offer our customers extensive expertise all the while maintaining a personal level of customer service not available from larger companies.

Each tree removal job is different. Starting with the estimate, we will evaluate your tree removal needs and determine what equipment will be involved based on the specifics of the situation. The equipment we use for tree removals varies from job to job but an example of the types of equipment we use are aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, and traditional climbing and rigging gear. This equipment is used to safely get the tree on the ground with minimal invasivness.

After the tree is safely on the ground, it’s time to clean up the mess. To clean up and remove debris from your property we utilize a combination of dump trucks, wood chippers, and log trucks. After the large debris has been cleaned up we diligently rake and clean up as best as we can. At Turcotte Tree, we respect your property and try to leave it looking as good or better than it did before we showed up.

Tree removal is an invasive procedure and there inevitably will be some impact to the surrounding area, even if only minimally. At Turcotte Tree, we do our best to minimize the damage and impact to your lawn and property surrounding the work area. If you have any specific concerns please make us aware of them during the estimate process and we will do our best to accommodate.

F.A.Q.

Tree removal is a complex high stakes process and as such requires an informed customer. We have listed here some of the common questions but if you have a question that isn’t answered here please feel free to call and we can answer any questions you may have over the phone.
Are you insured?
Yes, Turcotte Tree has both liability and workers compensation insurance as required by law. It is crucial that you only hire and allow insured companies to work on your property.
Can I cut down my neighbor's tree if it's leaning over my property?
If there is a tree that is technically on your neighbor’s property that you would like to have removed you will need to get their permission before you move forward.
Can I make my neighbor pay to remove a tree if it's leaning over my yard from their property?
In general, you cannot force your neighbor to cut down a tree that is on their property, even if it is leaning towards your house or yard. There are exceptions to this and if you have any questions please call to discuss further.
Do I need to ask the town for permission to remove a tree on my property?
You do not need permission from the town to remove trees on your property. The exception to this is if the tree is located in wetlands or conservation areas, or there is a property line dispute.
How does your pricing work?
Pricing tree removal is complex and takes into consideration many factors. To accurately price a tree removal job we must look at the situation in person, and can not give prices over the phone. Some of the factors that come into play include but are not limited to the size of the tree, the presence of electric utility wires, proximity to the house, equipment access.
Does the price include removing and cleaning up the debris or just cutting it down?
Unless you specifically ask for and/or we specifically note on the work order then the price you were quoted to remove the tree includes cleaning up and removing the debris from your property. However, stump grinding is an additional cost.
Can I keep the firewood?
Yes, you can keep some or all of the firewood but, depending on the specifics it may or may not affect the price and any additional handling and processing of firewood will be billed at an hourly rate. If you are interested in keeping some or all of the firewood from your job, please make us aware during the estimate phase as it may change the equipment needed for the job.
